Our 2003 holiday took us to the west coast of North America for three wonderful weeks. The prize for the most amazingly beautiful place goes to Crater Lake, Oregon, deepest lake in N America, watered by snow melt alone. A little still unmelted in late July can be seen. To let you know how we really went native, let me just say we drove 3650 miles between Vancouver ,Pasadena and back in 10 days, which is what I call getting good value from one's hire car.
